Tornado Protection
Citadel Storefront solutions with tornado protection secures your structure in the face of an F-5 tornado—at half the price of other tornado protection systems.
It features the only high-impact door in the industry that has passed both tornado and 15-lb water intrusion testing with full handicap accessibility. Each door panel incorporates a full-length piece of glass to maintain the traditional storefront look.
Our tornado protection design:
- Withstands storm-generated vacuum—in testing it held negative 300 psf (nearly 7 tons) for 10 seconds
- Withstands storm debris—in testing it survived four impacts by a 15-lb 2x4 projectile traveling 100 mph fired at the weakest point of the frame.
